Who remembers the few months in 2003 when Paddington Station was moved to the Rogue Valley Mall in Medford, allowing the main store to undergo a complete renovation?!
The space that was occupied was the former location of a Build-A-Bear. It featured 1,800 sq feet of space as opposed to their typical 8,300 sq feet… a tight squeeze for sure! While at the mall, sign templates were redone and the first website was born. Owners Pam and Don were present in both locations daily to oversee the construction as well as daily business. They recall many panicked phone calls of people looking for the store, afraid they had closed its doors!
This flyer went out to every home in Ashland to let folks know that the store was re-opening. Check out the neat photos of the renovation in progress!
After the grand re-opening, customers commented that it felt bright, clean, and more open- a blank canvas for the new beginning of the store. Some people missed elements from the old store, but most were excited for all the changes.
